Bluetooth, MP3 USB / MicroSD, AUX input, interface adapter for PCM 2, PCM 2.1, CDR23, CDR24 Porsche radios

This interface / audio adapter ( 8th generation with latest firmware! ) makes it possible to play music in MP3, WMA and WAV format from a USB stick or a microSD card in CD quality via a number of factory Porsche infotainment systems.

The interface also has a 3.5mm AUX input / audio connection for external sound sources and an integrated Bluetooth module with which music can be streamed wirelessly and hands-free calling can be made.

This interface behaves like a CD changer and is also recognized as such by your car radio. This maintains the full functionality of your car. The interface is operated via your infotainment system and/or steering wheel buttons.

Product features:

• Integrated Bluetooth module for wireless music streaming (A2DP) in digital quality and control via MMI buttons. Support for title / artist name / album display on the display of the MMI system. Suitable for streaming sounds from played music, videos, navigation, podcasts, etc. on your smartphone through the speakers. Suitable for streaming from Spotify, Deezer and Pandora, among others.
• Hands-free calling (car kit) functionality and control via the MMI buttons (AVRCP)
• USB connection (USB version 1.1 and higher) for playing MP3, WMA and WAV files from a USB stick (FAT16 or FAT32 formatted, max. 32Gb)
• microSD card connection for playing MP3 and WMA files (FAT16 or FAT32 formatted, max. 32Gb)
• AUX connection for an iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, tablet, telephone, GPS, PSP or other external sound source on the MMI fiber optic system for perfect sound reproduction. Please note that operating external devices via the AUX port is not possible. Audio input of the interface is a 3.5mm jack plug. The analog signal is converted into an optical digital audio signal (fiber optic), so that the audio quality is equal to that of the original CD changer
• Memory for the last playback position, which resumes playback when the radio is switched on and off

Comments:

• If there is a Bose system in it, this interface works immediately. If it is not a Bose system, there must be either an external CD changer or an external navigation or telephone module. Otherwise, one of those options must be enabled by the dealer (with a diagnostic computer).
• Cannot be combined with an existing CD changer. Existing CD changer is replaced by this interface or disconnected and a MOST loop is installed instead (supplied). The module is then connected behind the infotainment system.
• If there is an external telephone module in it (usually an old one with a SIM card), it must be disconnected from the MOST circuit and connected to a second MOST loop.

  This can be ordered separately. One barrel is included.
  If the original telephone module remains in place, the steering buttons for dialing a number will not work. Not even on the radio. Please note, this only applies to PCM 2.0 and PCM 2.1.
• CDR23 and CDR24 do not support telephone book functionality, but they do support simple CARKIT functionality (dialing a telephone number via the telephone itself).
• CDR24 must be factory equipped with a CD changer, otherwise this module will not work.
