Digital Music Changer LP1603MB is an interface / audio adapter for a number of factory Mercedes-Benz car radios with a MOST optic fiber system.

This interface makes it possible to play music in MP3 and WMA format from a USB stick or a microSD card in CD quality via your car radio. The interface also has a 3.5mm AUX input / audio connection for external sound sources and an integrated Bluetooth module with which music can be streamed wirelessly and hands-free calling can be made.

This interface / audio adapter behaves like a CD changer and is also recognized as such by your car radio. This maintains the full functionality of your car. The interface is operated simply via the buttons on your steering wheel or via those on your car radio. CD and track numbers are shown on the display of your car radio.

The integrated Bluetooth module makes it possible to make hands-free telephone calls and to stream music wirelessly from a mobile phone or other connected Bluetooth device.

The analog signal is converted into an optical digital audio signal (fiber optic), so that the audio quality is equal to that of the original CD changer

Compatibility note:

• Comand NTG2.5 is not supported! It has a SD card slot on top of the device's screen.
• If the Mercedes has one of the next options: - 6 CD changer | OEM Phone module | external amplifier | external navigation box, it will work out of the box. Otherwise, coding of CDC is needed.
• Cannot be combined with an existing CD changer. Existing CD changer must be completely disconnected. If there is a 6 disc Cd changer in the trunk lid (applies to S, SL, CL class only), an optical loop / bypass must be placed on the MOST connector of the disconnected CD changer.
• If the Mercedes has an external OEM phone module, an additional optical loop connector is needed to bypass it in order to have the phone buttons on the steering to function properly (in case Mr12volt need to replace OEM carkit).
