This audio interface supports the following Porsche infotainment systems:
Important notes and compatibility:
- Also works on a 986 Boxster model year 2002/2003 with CDR23 (coding is required if no CD changer is present from the factory).
- Bose sound system: If the car is equipped with a Bose system, this interface works directly Plug & Play.
- No Bose system? In that case, an external CD changer, external navigation, or a telephone module must be present from the factory to activate the MOST network. If none of these options are present, the CD changer function must first be activated by a Porsche dealer or specialist using diagnostic software (PIWIS).
- CD changer: This interface replaces the existing CD changer. The changer must be disconnected and bypassed using the included MOST loop. The module is then connected behind the head unit.
- Original telephone module: If the car has a factory telephone module (usually the old type with a SIM card reader), it must be removed from the MOST ring and bypassed with an additional MOST loop (one loop is included, extra loops can be ordered here). Watch the bypass instruction video.
Please note: If the original telephone module remains active, the steering wheel and radio buttons for dialing numbers will not work. This applies specifically to PCM 2.0 and PCM 2.1. - CDR23 / CDR24 radios: These Becker radios do not support phonebook display, but offer basic car kit functionality only (dialing numbers via the smartphone itself).
- CDR23 / CDR24 requirement: These radios (even in combination with Bose) must be equipped with a CD changer from the factory, otherwise this module will not function without coding.
